Blake Hammill Named Executive Director

[Murfreesboro, TN] – The board of directors at Renewed Life Ministries Outreach (RLMO) is pleased to name Blake Hammill as Executive Director, effective April 2019.

Hammill, a native of Murfreesboro, has been on staff for the past three years at JourneyPure, a clinical addiction treatment center in Rutherford County. He received his B.S. in Psychology, with concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse, from MTSU. Hammill is a 2014 graduate of RLMO’s year-long residential discipleship program. Alongside fellow graduates, he has maintained involvement at RLMO as an active volunteer and mentor, using his own past experiences to support other men seeking freedom from addictions.

Hammill assumes leadership following the recent death of Derek Faulkner, after a brief battle with cancer. Faulkner was Hammill’s mentor and had served as executive director since 2010.

“I am honored to pick up the torch and serve alongside a loving and overly competent team at RLMO,” said Hammill. “Derek Faulkner led me through the program at RLMO and had since become a trusted friend and spiritual father to my family and me. We miss him terribly. I will continue to trust God to equip me to lead men to a place of restoration and love as they journey through the program at RLMO.”

“We are excited to have Blake as the new Executive Director,” said Paul Smith, president, RLMO board of directors. “Before Derek went to be with our Father, I had a chance to ask him about his wishes; Blake was his first and only choice as the next leader for our program. Derek leaves an incredible legacy and is deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. But he would often remind us to press on in such a way to win the prize, so RLMO will press on with Blake at the helm, and we will continue to change lives, one relationship at a time.”
